The Tribute award was presented by actor, musician and director Jared Leto, who won the Oscar and the Golden Globe for best supporting role for his performance inDallas Buyers Club. Leto gave a word about the first time he met Vallée, and the path they have traced together in film industry.

In addition to receiving this year Tribute, Jean-Marc Vallée presented the Latin American Premiere of his most recent film, Demolition, which was presented for the first time at the Toronto International Film Festival.
