He began his piano studies at the School of Music of the State of Baja California Sur in 1998 with Professor Gregorio Peralta. In 2001 he continued his studies with the teacher Genevieve Bergold, and he also participated in some occasions with the Youth Orchestra of the School of Music of Baja California Sur (2004-2005).

In 2005 she entered the Faculty of Music of the Universidad Veracruzana from which she obtained the degree of Music in Piano option in 2014, having taken classes there with the teacher Enrique Márquez (ᵻ), Jorge Covarrubias and Isabel Ladrón de Guevara. She also holds a degree in Music Education from the same University, obtaining the title in 2012. She has taken several courses in Music Education, as well as classes of direction with the teacher Fernando Ávila; He has taken piano master classes with Jorge Federico Osorio (MEX-USA), Silvia Santarelli (ITA), Martha García Renart (MEX) and Barbara Moser (AUT), Slavina Zhelezova (BUL-USA), Tomoko Honda (JPN-BEL) . Anatoly Zatin (RUS-MEX), Richard Reber (USA), Boris Berman (RUS-USA), Itzhak Solsky (ISR-BEL) and Luca Chiantore (ITA-ESP). She has been awarded twice with the PECYDA scholarships (2007 and 2009), which allowed her to offer recitals and conferences throughout the state of BCS, this last scholarship also allowed her to participate in the summer of 2010 in the courses and recitals of the Festival Allegro International I live in Austria.


As a soloist, she has participated in various courses, competitions, national and international festivals in various forums in Mexico, Spain and Austria. He has participated under the baton of Karen Lynne Deal, and Terry Townson. He has also given workshops and conferences on the corporal health of the musician for different universities of the country. In March 2013 he won the 3rd place in the Chamber Music Competition of the "Musician's Week" Festival organized by the Universidad Veracruzana, and in November of the same year he received the Sudcalifornian Youth Award.

He has composed some works for different ensembles; in 2013 one of them premiered at the Honduras Sax Fest. She has worked as a teacher for the Children's Musical Initiation Center of the Universidad Veracruzana, as well as in 2010 at the beginning of 2013 she worked for the Yamaha Academies of Music of Veracruz, having certified Grade 5 in Piano. During 2015 she taught at the Aveiro Center in Portuga, and gives private lessons at Baja Music & Piano Studio, of which she is a director, is a pianist accompanying various local artists, highlighting her participation with Ensamble Aureos, she is a camerist and pianist of the Big Band Jazz La Paz, as well as on occasion he has collaborated with the Esperanza Azteca Symphony Orchestra of Baja California Sur. As part of the organization Música Viva La Paz, she has produced different concerts and artistic events, including Carmina Burana (2016), and Misa Criolla (2017).

           

 

Gerardo Steve Munguía Williams

Originally from Xalapa, Ver., He began his piano studies at the age of three. In 2001 she entered the Children's Musical Initiation Center (CIMI) of the Universidad Veracruzana, where she studied with the teachers Jesús Lepe and Edgar Boffill, and since 2004 with the teacher Patricia Castillo, of whom she is a student for thirteen years. He graduated from CIMI in 2005 with perfect qualification in Instrument.

 

He entered the Faculty of Music of the same University in 2006, and at the age of 12 years he won by contest the position of soloist with the Symphonic Orchestra of Xalapa having as a jury the Mtro. Carlos Miguel Prieto. The concert takes place in 2009 under the baton of maestro Fernando Lozano.

He has taken classes with various teachers, including Jorge Federico Osorio, Claudia Corona, Marta García Renart, Héctor Rojas, Görg Demus, Antonio Manzo, Héctor Sánchez, Richard Reber, Yleana Bautista, as well as a course on extended piano techniques with the teacher. Tomoko Honda Since 2013, he has been advised by Alberto Cruzprieto.

He has given recitals in different audiences of the city of Xalapa, such as the Museum of Anthropology, Garden of Sculptures, Contemporary Art Gallery, Faculty of Music, State Theater, as well as in the Concert Hall of La Paz, BCS, the Teatro Llave in Orizaba, Ver., The Auditorium of the H. Papantla City Hall, Ver., The House of Culture of Córdoba, Ver., The Peón Contreras Theater in Mérida, Yuc., The Raúl Baillères Auditorium of the Autonomous Technological Institute of Mexico (ITAM) in Mexico City and the National Museum of Anthropology in the same city.

In 2013 he began studying Business Engineering at ITAM, and within this Institute he founded the ITAM Jazz Trio and teaches Theory and Musical Appreciation, as well as carrying out his social service supporting the ITAMMusica project. In 2017 he finished his studies at both universities, graduating with a degree in Music from the Universidad Veracruzana, with honorable mention. He is currently a pianist at the Esperanza Azteca Symphony Orchestra of Baja California Sur, and a teacher at the State Music School, Baja Music & Piano Studio and La Colmena.
