Between the years 1194 and 1998 he studied at the Superior School of Music and Dance of Monterrey, Nuevo León under the direction of maestro Iberé Gewehr. Later he moved to Budapest, Hungary where in June 2008 he graduated with honors in the Faculty of Piano of the "Academy of Musical Arts Franz Liszt", under the direction of teachers András Kemenes, Rita Wágner and Ferene Rados. During his studies he received financial support for three consecutive years from the FONCA, through the Support Program for Study Abroad.
He has participated in festivals and taught master classes, as well as having recitals in different venues in Mexico, Poland, Germany, Ukraine and Hungary, collaborating on several occasions with the Mexican Embassy of the last two countries mentioned above.
For two consecutive years he received a scholarship from the Hungarian government for the study, analysis and performance in recitals of the series "GAMES" by the contemporary Hungarian composer György Kurtág.
In the opinion of his teachers, the talent of Juan Pablo Bautista Cano is a very promising future. "Great ability to create atmosphere, its strong and authentic personality, attached to the ingenuity to create clear and beautiful sounds makes its execution a great attraction for the general public" (Rita Wagner).
His repertoire includes a large range of composers and cycles. In recent years he has worked to premiere the works of young Hungarian talents such as Ákis Zarándy, Csanád Kedves, Máté Balogh, Horváth Balázs and Tamás Matkó among others, participating in the most important contemporary music forums in Hungary.
He currently resides in the city of Budapest, where he continues his work as a pianist in Europe.
