Originally from La Paz BCS, Mexico. From an early age he began studying music under the direction of maestro Iberé Gewehr. Later he takes private lessons with the Hungarian teacher István Nádas +.
From 1994 to 1998 he studied at the Higher School of Music and Dance of Monterrey, Nuevo León under the direction of the teacher Iberé Gewehr so that he later moved to Budapest, Hungary where in June 2008 he graduated with honors at the Piano faculty of the “Franz Liszt Academy of Musical Arts” under the direction of teachers András Kemenes, Rita Wágner and Ferenc Rados.
During his studies he received financial support for three consecutive years from “FONCA” through the Support Program for Study Abroad.
He has participated in festivals and taught master classes, in addition to offering recitals in different rooms in Mexico, Poland, Germany, Ukraine and Hungary, collaborating on several occasions at the Mexican embassy of the last two countries already mentioned.
For two consecutive years he received a grant from the Hungarian Government for the study, analysis and performance in recitals of the series "games" of the contemporary Hungarian composer György Kurtág.
In the opinion of his teachers, the talent of Juan Pablo Bautista Cano has a promising future, “Great ability to create atmosphere, his strong and authentic personality, attached to the ingenuity to create clear and beautiful sounds makes his execution a great attraction for the general public ”(Rita Wagner)
His repertoire includes a large range of composers and cycles. In the last two years he has worked to release the works of young Hungarian talents such as Ákos Zarándy, Csanád Kedves, Máté Balogh, Horváth Balázs and Tamás Matkó, among others, thus participating in the most important music forums in Hungary.
In 2013 he was part of the ensemble of the play "... meinen Liedern ...?" By Laczkó Bálint, who won the 3rd prize in the competition for composers of the Academy of Musical Arts Franz Liszt in Budapest.

He currently occupies the full time position at the Higher School of Music and Dance of the National Institute of Fine Arts in Monterrey, Nuevo León. City where he continues his work as teacher and pianist.
